Kaumarabhritya :<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Introduction:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Kaumarbhritya<\/strong> is one of the eight major branches of Ayurveda and deals with the healthcare of infants, children, and adolescents, including their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It emphasizes the promotion of healthy growth and development, disease prevention, nutritional care, immunization concepts, neonatal care, and the management of childhood disorders through Ayurvedic principles. The Department also focuses on antenatal and postnatal care to ensure the health of both mother and child.<\/p>\n

The Department imparts undergraduate training in pediatric Ayurveda, neonatal care, child nutrition, developmental assessment, preventive pediatrics, pediatric diseases, and Ayurvedic management of common childhood illnesses. Practical training is provided through outpatient and inpatient services, pediatric clinical examination, Panchakarma procedures suitable for children, and community health activities. Students are also trained in preventive child healthcare practices, growth monitoring, and health education.<\/p>\n

Under-Graduate Level:<\/strong> During the year, theoretical as well as practical teaching, training, and guidance in the subject of Kaumarbhritya (Balroga)<\/strong> were provided to BAMS students.<\/p>\n
