DEPARTMENT OF KAYACHIKITSA: 

Introduction:

Kaya Chikitsa is one of the important branches of Ayurveda. This branch deals with various physical and psychological diseases like Fever, Rakta-pitta, Shotha, Prameha, etc. This Department is imparting in theory as well as practical and Research on various diseases through Ayurvedic principles of treatment and therapy such as Panchakarma, Rasayana, Vajikarana etc. in accordance with the syllabus and curriculum prescribed by NCISM. This Subject is mainly concerned with the principles and methods of treatment of diseases.

Medical Conditions Comprehensively Managed by Kayachikitsa-

  • Gastrointestinal Disorders (Hyperacidity, Constipation, Flatulence, Indigestion, Dysentery, Malabsorption, Food allergies etc)
  • Hepatobiliary Disorders (Jaundice, Liver Cirrhosis, Ascites, Gall stones, Hepatitis etc)
  • Musculoskeletal Disorders (Osteoarthritis, Spondylosis, Slip Disc, Backache, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Gout etc)
  • Neurological Disorders (Paralysis, Bell’s Palsy, GB Syndrome, Motor Neuron Disease, Neuro-degenerative disorders etc)

  3. To increase number of patients in OPD and IPD and develop the special unit of Psychological Disorders (Manasroga) and Degenerative Musculo-skelton Disorders (Mamsa-Asthi-Sandhi Roga), Diabetic and Cardiovascular disorders along with special clinic for skin disorders.
  4. To develop protocols of research and management of various disorders based on Ayurvedicprinciples of management.
